มีญาติโยมท่านหนึ่งถามว่า พระเครื่องที่ได้รับมาเป็นของขวัญ จะเปลี่ยนเจ้าของหรือส่งต่อให้ผู้อื่นได้หรือไม่ เพราะในกลุ่มผู้เช่าบูชาพระเครื่อง บางท่านบอกว่าห้ามเปลี่ยนเจ้าของ
ขึ้นอยู่กับคำอธิษฐานของผู้สร้าง
พระอาจารย์ตอบว่า สิ่งนี้เป็นของขวัญสำหรับผู้มีบุญ จะเปลี่ยนมือได้หรือไม่ ขึ้นอยู่กับวัตถุประสงค์และคำอธิษฐานของผู้ประกอบสร้างวัตถุศักดิ์สิทธิ์นั้น หากท่านอธิษฐานให้อานุภาพความศักดิ์สิทธิ์เกื้อกูลเฉพาะเจ้าของบุญคนนั้น สิ่งนี้ก็ย่อมเป็นไปตามความตั้งใจนั้น
เมื่อผู้สร้างตั้งใจให้อยู่คู่โลก
แต่ถ้าผู้สร้างปรารถนาให้สิ่งดีงามนี้ดำรงอยู่คู่โลก ของศักดิ์สิทธิ์นั้นก็ย่อมเปลี่ยนมือจากผู้มีบุญท่านหนึ่งไปสู่ผู้มีบุญอีกท่านหนึ่งได้ เมื่อถึงวาระที่ของนั้นไปอยู่กับผู้ใด ก็จะเกื้อกูลประโยชน์และหนุนดวงบุญของผู้ครอบครองในการประกอบเหตุอันดีงาม
สรุป
ทั้งหมดจึงขึ้นอยู่กับดวงบุญของเจ้าของ และคำอธิษฐานของผู้สร้างวัตถุมงคลนั้นตั้งแต่แรก ไม่ใช่กฎตายตัวว่าห้ามเปลี่ยนมือ
The question
A lay follower asked whether a sacred amulet received as a gift may be passed on to someone else — since within groups that acquire amulets, some say the owner must never change.
It depends on the maker's resolve
Pra Ajarn answers that such an object is a gift for a person of merit. Whether it may change hands depends on the purpose and the aspiration of the one who consecrated it. If the maker resolved that its sacred power should benefit that particular owner of merit, then it follows that intention.
When the maker wishes it to remain in the world
But if the maker wished this good thing to endure in the world, the sacred object naturally passes from one person of merit to another. Wherever it comes to rest, it supports that person's merit and their doing of good.
In short
It all rests on the merit of the owner and on the aspiration the maker set from the very beginning — not on a fixed rule forbidding any change of hands.
