Someone asked about the difference between various religious beliefs and right view (sammā-diṭṭhi).
In truth, when we look at the world's notion of right view through the lens of religion, it's really just the belief system of that particular religion — this religion, that religion, all of them are ultimately matters of belief. But when we speak of something universal — truth as genuine reality — it doesn't rely on belief at all. The truth that doesn't rely on belief is the three natures that govern all beings. Once we know this truth and act in accordance with its natural laws, the result genuinely follows accordingly.
Whatever anyone believes, whatever any religion holds to be true, if it doesn't align with reality, it's because has taken hold and misled people into wrong view. Even within Buddhism itself, this happens — some people refuse to understand things as they truly are, yet still consider what they believe to be right view. For example, someone might witness clear evidence yet still believe in ghosts and spirits and the like. What matters most is asking: what is the truth that can actually be verified? When it comes to the three natures, it can indeed be verified — which nature is currently dominant, how it's guiding us, and what results it produces. All of this can be proven.
