ส่วนสัจจาธิษฐาน คือการอาศัยสัจจะนั้นแล้วนำมาใช้อธิษฐาน สัจจกิริยาจึงเกิดขึ้นก่อนสัจจาธิษฐานเสมอ
พระอาจารย์อธิบายถึงกลไกของการใช้สัจจะว่า เป็นการเชื่อมโยงกับนับอสงไขยพระองค์ไม่ถ้วน คือ เป็นการหลอมรวมเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับผู้มีอานุภาพนั้น นี่คือสัจจกิริยา

Someone asked: what is the difference between sacca-kiriya, an act of truth, and sacca-adhitthana, a vow made on truth?
Sacca-kiriya is the kiriya — the outward expression, the manifestation of truth. It arises first.
Sacca-adhitthana relies on that truth and then puts it to use in making a resolution. Sacca-kiriya always arises before sacca-adhitthana.
Phra Ajarn explained the mechanism behind using truth this way: it is a connection with the One who knows, whose power spans countless, innumerable aeons — this is Nibbana. It is a merging into oneness with that power — this is sacca-kiriya.
Sacca-adhitthana, then, relies on that merging of power with him, and from there one sets the wish for whatever it is one wants to come true.
That is how the two differ.
