The teacher explains that the phenomenon Western science calls "insight" or intuition is, in truth, connecting with the inner Knower and Powerful One. This differs from ordinary "thinking," which is limited to information already stored in memory — deliberate awareness without forced thinking is the key.
Someone read the teacher an English-language article discussing research on meditation and the phenomenon of sudden "" or intuition — that arrives instantly without logical analysis. It cited figures such as Steve Jobs, who believed creativity came from listening to an inner voice cultivated through meditation, and Einstein, who called intuition humanity's true gift. The article also referenced Stanford research finding that regular meditators access intuitive thinking more readily than others. They asked the teacher to explain this from a perspective.
Behind "Insight" Lies the Knower and the Powerful One
The teacher explained that what Western science attributes to frequencies and brainwaves only captures part of the picture. In truth, behind this phenomenon lies the Knower and Powerful One present in each of our dimensions already — we simply need to become liberated enough to connect with them.
Vidyādhara: Masters of Knowledge in the Cātummahārājika Heaven
He explained that Knowers connected to knowledge and skill fall into two categories: those who directly originate a body of knowledge, and those who have learned and mastered its use, residing in the Cātummahārājika heaven, known as vidyādhara. They span countless fields — science, art, craftsmanship, and more. Those who, as humans, were devoted to learning but had little time to accumulate merit tend to be reborn in this heavenly realm after death. Students drawn to the same field of study may encounter them there, and these teachers sometimes transmit knowledge back down to humans — inventors and even novelists among them.
The Difference Between "Thinking" and "Knowing"
The teacher explained that "thinking" means rearranging information already stored in memory, limited by whatever data already exists there. "Knowing," by contrast, means holding an intention to connect with a Knower who has far more information. Once that intention is set, the sphere of awareness — — establishes itself and draws in pure energy to clear away the im that obscures understanding. As that impurity lightens, knowledge already present within reveals itself, as though someone were explaining it, seemingly of one's own thought. This is the principle behind learned wisdom and reflective wisdom. Wisdom born of meditation goes further still, connecting with an even subtler inner Knower — for knowledge that doesn't exist anywhere on earth at all.
A Practical Technique: Hold the Intention, Then Let Go — Don't Force the Thinking
He advised that when wanting to know something, simply hold the intention and let it be — don't try to force the thinking, since forcing it opens the door for unwholesome and neutral states to intrude and block the connection to the Knower instead. It's like tuning a radio and waiting for the signal, not trying to generate the signal yourself. The best times to receive such information tend to be moments of calm and ease — while showering, walking, or just after waking — times when impurity has naturally lightened. He stressed that regular meditation keeps the mind clear, making the channel to the inner Knower progressively easier to open.
